What would you give?
reign on earth
SupranationalCome take my hand and we'll walk in the park
We'll play in the meadow and stay until dark
Come now my brother, there's so much to see
So much to explore for you and for me
Come take my hand and we'll lay down these guns
Let's show our resolve, let us be the ones
Come now my sister, we'll exit this place
We'll show them we're all one big human race
Come now my friend, you're no enemy mine
Agape love transcends both space and time
Together we'll stand, divided we'll fall
True brotherhood lives, for one and for all
Come now and see, a paradise at hand
For love and for kindness we've taken a stand
We'll never tire of that peaceful new world
It's coming is soon, or haven't you heard
Dawn of a New Day
Rebellion, independence; yet what have we gained?
Alas, six-thousand years of suffering and pain.
The abuse of free will brought the sentence of death,
yet men will still curse Him with their last dying breath.
All of the hatred, the prejudice, and the wars.
All of the sadness, the despair, the closed doors.
All of the infants who died before they could live.
All of the mothers who for them would their lives give.
Genocides, jihads, ethnic cleansings, crusades.
Mankind produces evil in aces and spades.
Still, amid all the bad there has also been good,
there have always been lovers who did what they could.
Behold! Comes a day when grey skies turn to blue,
the millennial reign of the One who is true!
The dawn of a new day where love reigns supreme.
His brief time here on earth was but a foregleam.
When that day arrives planet earth is reborn.
No more eyes filled with tears or faces forlorn.
Children so perfect that it seems like a dream.
Polluted waters replaced with clea
Motionless skies and meat-filled pies
oceans that are red with blood
trees without leaves and beds of lies
survivors of the global flood
Celestial light-bearing suns
spirits that sail through the void
Tartarus binds the misled ones
prospects for their future destroyed
Days of reckoning now nearing
yea, a dearth of goodness prevails
the endless abyss they are fearing
it hungers for the prey it jails
Heavenly and earthly delight
beauty and kindness to follow
endless bliss, forever in sight
promises certain, not hollow
Milky WayAs I lay on the ground and look up at the stars,
crickets are chirping their songs from afar.
From my home on the hill the view is sublime,
such heavenly scenes inspire many a rhyme.
As I gaze I soon wonder what life's all about,
hatred and wars sometimes cause me to doubt.
Yet surely this cosmic dance high 'bove my head,
was created by Someone whose heart for me bled.
This I am sure of and yes, this I believe,
that the "Someone" who made us wants us to be free.
Free from the pain and the sorrow and guilt,
free to seek peace on this planet He's built.
For now such things, too wonderful for me,
has made my head sleepy, it's time for my tea.
Time to get moving as the dawn has approached,
I'll ponder yet later this quandary I've broached.
Touch...and believe!the feel of fine silk
the bark of the birch
the cool running water
my toes in the sand
her soft flowing hair
his muscular frame
the feet of an infant
the small of her back
the coat of the husky
the fur of the kitten
the skin of the boa
the soft tiny gerbil
the Bible in leather
the thin delicate page
the hug from my brother
the tears on my cheek
"Many believe in just what they can see,
or can hold in the palm of their hand.
But true faith requires much more of me,
if I choose to fit in with His plan."
The Hand of FateIn this world so filled with hate
a world that stands at heaven's gate
many would like to relegate
all their deeds to the Hand of Fate
What they've failed to see to date
what they need before too late
is truth that leads to bliss' state
His wisdom looses us from fate
For Fate and Destiny to rate
would mean free will's not on our plate
it's knowledge that can set men straight
and free them from the taint of fate
Sweet Nectar of Life!I would scale the highest mountain
I would sail the stormy seas
I would walk through cactus gardens
crawl through brier on my knees
I would fly clear up to Heaven
I would dig through earth below
I would place my bet on seven
put on quite an evening show
I would search through every cave
I would climb the highest tree
I would jump and act so brave
everyone would root for me
I would wish to end all strife
I would pine for endless days
Suck the nectar of sweet life
Live forever in His ways
The Fountain of YouthMany a wanderer for your springs did thirst
for one sip; they would be set free!
Free from the misery and free from the dearth
of more years; to live endlessly!
But your source proved elusive, many have tried
to find you; the fountain of life!
Some have lost patience and many more have died
in their quest; their lives filled with strife.
They've merely sought what was planted in man's heart
from the start; a life without end!
If only you were real we'd all do our part
to be good; our ways we would mend.
But the truth we must face is there's no fountain
to be found; and there's never been.
Life eternal was inscribed on a mountain
on two tablets; the laws were ten.
The waters that we seek are waters of truth
found in the Word; life-giving truth.
If we diligently seek our search will bear fruit
for life; Jesus' rise gives us proof!
Paid in Full (Poem)
Imagine it as if it was happening today
The hour was dawning in which it would be His last day
Jesus, took 3 of His disciples and went out to pray
As the death He'd prophesied was but a short time away
He began to be filled with sorrow and became deeply distressed
"My soul is exceedingly sorrowful even to death.."
So strong was his distress that blood expelled as He sweat
Three times He asked them to stay awake and pray but three times they slept.
"Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold the hour is at hand,
And the Son of Man is being betrayed into sinners' hands.
Rise, let us be going. See My betrayer is at hand"
The betrayer Judas arrives and with a kiss hands over the Son of Man
Through unjust trials He pushed right on through
Never denying who He was as King of the Jews
They mocked and jeered and their blood lust grew
Crucify Him! They shouted, though His innocence was proved
Tortured, humiliated, battered and bruised
He knew the cup He'd drink from was to save me and you
Afraid To Be Alone (Poem)
It's obvious being alone is one of your greatest fears
It's why you fall for any man who can sweet talk you in your ear
You know you've been through all this ordeal before
But you ignore the signs and to your heart you always open up the door
It's like you don't believe you're really worth it any more
Every man you've let in takes all you have and demands more
Stomps over your heart and just lets your tears pour
Time for a change, you need your body and soul restored
You need to look up and see there's more to your life story
You need to accept the need for change and just give Him glory
Submit to a greater plan, you're better off in The Lord's hands
You've done it your way and have only found disappointment in the hands of man
The Lord has promised to never leave nor forsake you
That's more than any man who claimed the same truth
For all the promises God gives, He always sees them through
Time to shake off the pain and rejection your heart has bounded to
It's not to late to change th
Jesus Christ (Poem)
Yes, there was a man born of flesh
Who overcame the world and all its tests
The only one worthy to be called His holiness
A royal king who spent His days with the poorest sects
The only man on whose flesh maggots cannot feast
Who took our sickness and sin, for love of you and me
Who proclaimed, to be great you must become the least
He is the greatest gift mankind through grace has ever reaped
He spent his days and nights connected to God the Father
Kept it real at all times, like him there is no other
Hated by all whom were corrupted by money and worldly power
Accepted his mission fully knowing, He'd die for unworthy followers
I know we're not worthy to be known as those who follow Christ
But you still wouldn't trade us, even when Satan tried to change your mind
You endured the pain, the ridicule, and humiliation, a costly price
If it were necessary, you'd do it all again to make everything right
My King, Lord, and Savior, Jesus Christ, thank you once again
For taking those who feel so
At the CrossI see the cross on which you died;
I stand and wonder at the sight.
What sorrow and what pain is here -
but oh! what grace and comfort, too!
I stand in awe and rev'rent fear,
I stand in awe and worship you.
I see your feet,
those beautiful feet
that preached good news,
brought tidings of peace,
those feet that left the Throne above,
now nailed to the wood,
all for me.
And I thank you, Lord Jesus,
for your piercèd feet.
I see your knees,
those humble knees
that knelt on the ground
like a slave, washing feet,
those knees that prayed in Gethsemane,
now bruised and bloodied,
all for me.
And I thank you, Lord Jesus,
for your blood-stained knees.
I see your side,
that loving side
to which you hugged children
and drew the outcast,
that side to which you call the world,
now pouring water, blood and love,
all for me.
And I thank you, Lord Jesus,
for your bleeding side.
I see your hands,
those gentle hands
with which you blessed
and healed the sick,
those hands that touched lepers
Believe and ObeyBelieve and Obey
I want you
To talk to them about me
A whisper sounds in my ear
But what if they
Don’t want to hear
I argue back
Talk to them
I will be your words
The whisperer replied
What if they want to hurt me?
I argue back, fear dictating my voice
I am here with you
The whisperer loving said
Taking a deep breath
And a gulp
I walked forward
It’s easy to believe
But it’s hard to obey
Breakthrough The Cycle (Poem)
As the heart aches the mouth profanes
To habits and addictions we've become enslaved
Our frustrations increase as our sin remains
Yet in our strength no progress can be obtained
Only when we are so broken, it's Him we start seeking
The one whom in our suffering has been silently weeping
His words never ceased as He has always been speaking
We ignore that voice that has been internally preaching
He sends out His faithful to testify of a love so great
It is not in His nature to forsake and let you fade away
He is determined to bring you back to that wonderful place
That in your search to fill your heart, you lost the way
Now you sit in worry, pain, and sorrow
Hoping for that miracle, a new tomorrow
Consuming all that will help you numb it all and let you forget
But your own strength only brings a new day with more regrets
Look into the depths of your heart
Remember that even you, He has set apart
From your side He hasn't chosen to depart
Take it now, seize it, and accept to restart
When Dreams Become SmokeThe dream became smoke;
it flickered and died,
plunging me into darkness,
confusion and night.
All I had planned
slipped out of my hand;
I was left behind, hurting
as it winged out of sight.
The dream became smoke;
did YOU blow it out?
Why did you let this happen,
and cause me such plight?
Did I misunderstand
what you had planned?
Was it all my own mistake?
Must all dreams now take flight?
When dreams become smoke,
Lord, teach me aright
to hold on to your faithfulness
even in darkest night.
Gone are my plans -
let me rest in your hands,
ever trusting you to know
what is best and what's right.
Letting GoHelp me let go.
Let me unclench my hand
so you can take it in yours.
Let me empty myself
to be filled with you
and have room for your gifts,
for blessings poured down on me.
all my gain is loss.
all my loss is gain.
are all I need.
are my supplier,
never forsaking me.
Help me let go.
Let me unclench my hand.
Let me make room for you
in this heart of mine,
and room for your blessings
more precious than gold.
For all other things
are dung and dross
compared to the riches
I can find in you.
Bring Me BackWho am I that cries to God,
Who am I to come to You,
That You should pour Your Spirit out on me,
Who am I to ask of You,
In my flesh I weep and scream,
In my pride I demand,
In my doubt I beg of You,
As if You begrudgingly give,
So God I ask for Your Spirit,
And I know I don't deserve,
A single glance from You,
No, not even one word,
And yet You gave Your life for me,
You are Holy, You are good,
Even when I had to convince myself,
I know You understood,
You brought hardship to my life,
And You understand my pain,
This meekness I feel is not a sin,
You made me feel this way,
I know You want me to pursue You,
My flesh is selfish; my Spirit scared,
Time is not running out on this,
My time You have prepared,
I will ask You everyday,
And I will come to You for all,
Every problem come my way,
I will ask You big and small,
Jesus teach me how to pray,
I've forgotten how to speak,
I don't know what to say,
Your presence silences me,
I know Your love is never-ending,
And Your gentleness is warm,
What do you think of me?When you think of me just what do you see,
a babe, wrapped up tight in a cloak?
Or a fairy tale myth who's been set free,
or a man whose back nearly broke?
When you think of me just why should you fear,
the end, it's not what you believe?
The coming wrath will eliminate tears,
bring mankind's long needed reprieve.
When you think of me do you miss the point,
your troubles, were they caused by Me?
It's for you my Father did thus anoint,
his Son, who will soon set you free.
When you think of me does it move your heart,
to sing, give praise to my Father?
I promise you this, if you'll do your part,
I'll take care of you, my brother!

to purify my lungs
then i saw the thick

i left in a slender
birch, and wondered how
i could let you poison
another living thing.

spent my dysphoric corrections
on reconnecting lax ends.

i tie myself to the anchor,
you extricate and ascend.
